#195: IXTaxis single argument use and read_ascii extensions

Just an idea - It would be advantageous to have a single argument input
for IXTaxis to construct common axis objects. e.g. IXTaxis('Q') or
IXTaxis('E') where the output would be appropriate to the commonly used
variable. It would also be very helpful to be able to specify in a
read_ascii command what type of data is coming in and have the axes
 labelled appropriately - e.g. read_ascii('mydata.dat','SQ') would read
mydata.dat and give the x-axis and S-axis appropriate to Q and y axis
appropriate to S(Q). From personal experience - I typically read from an
ascii and don't bother putting axes labels in properly, which is sloppy.
