#194: Tolerance on x-axis matching?

When I export an IXTdataset_1d object as an ASCII file, read this into
Mathcad, export a result (on the same x-axis) and then read back into
Libisis I can't then perform operations using this result and the original
object. This is because the x axes are apparently incompatible. The
incomparability isn't in the first 5 decimal places. Perhaps there is some
way to put a tolerance on this to account for the fact that people will
often read-out and re-read back in data? The process truncates the x-axis
(I think) to a number of decimal places. Perhaps there is a way of
detecting which object has the better precision and use the x-axis from
that (thus preventing any slow creep in the results as you perform more
operations with data read from ascii files).
