We want a 2d plot type which can plot discontinuous data. This will start
with an object which can store discontinuous data (i.e. individual points
all of which are labelled by the pixel, they belong to, so a square could
have (0,0,0) , (1,0,0), (0,1,0), (1,1,0) all labeled "1" etc... Also
stores the same data as IXTdataset_2d in terms of title, axes information
(IXTunits), then we need to make a patch plot of this data. This should,
hopefully, work with the existing commands since an object group will be
created and should act as if several overplots are on an axis at the same
time.
