 The positioning in 2d plots works fine - titles stay where they are and
 the axes scale without moving titles. In 1d plots they do not. I have no
 idea why this is and my head hurts. Will apply a fix to the 1d plots but
 will continue to search for why the 2d plots seem to "sort themselves out"
