 My good friends the binary operations should be changed. They are all
 essentially the same, so a change in operation means altering lots of the
 same stuff... Having looked at Horrace, there are ways of creating a
 template for the behaviour, with one input argument being a handle to a
 matlab function (the operation to be performed). This will mean 6 more
 mfiles for each class, but much more flexibility as 5 and the previous 5
 will be static with one changing template.
